P Brigham arrived home from Denver last evening in a Mets car after securing the local agency. He left Louver last Friday and traveled via Casper, crossing the Big Horns through Cottonwood Pass. He plans to do significant business with the Mets car this coming year. C M Miller of Thermopolis, who has done abstract work here recently, returned home yesterday.

Concert Company to Appear Here Next Month in Basin

The Shubert Symphony Club and ladies’ quartet of Chicago will perform in Basin under Basin band auspices on December 10. The organization, praised by major dailies, will also play Cody on December 1. Red Cross Christmas seals go on sale December 1 nationwide to fund public health and anti tuberculosis work. Wyoming aims for one seal per person.

Big Horn and Washakie Counties Hold Thanksgiving Teachers Institute

A joint teachers institute will run November 24 to 28 in the high school building under county superintendents Mary L. Hatfield of Washakie and A. F. Fillerup of Big Horn. Noted instructors include C. A. Duniway and T. B. Parsons, with sessions on location good roads and readings by Mary Johnson Eaton. A local road exhibit is set for November 26, and teachers’ examinations will occur November 28 and 29.

Progress Dinner Meeting at Antlers Discusses Local Road Lantern Plan

Members of the Progress association met at the Antlers for a Wednesday dinner in Metz absence. Vice President Snow presided as Rav Albone reported sidewalk conditions and a committee was formed to take up the issue with the town council. Coons urged funding a lantern for a government lecture on good roads on the 25th and an advisory board of county community reps to work with the county commissioners to cut taxes. Senator Randall noted George Douglas’s visit to collect material for a Burlington Basin booklet and said he would spend weeks in Chicago to answer Basin inquiries.
