Dickcissel Song Dominates Train Time in Travel
The Dickcissel, formerly called the black-throated bunting, stands out with its unique "Dick Dick Dickcissel" song heard over train noise. The bright yellow bird with a black throat sings loudly along rail corridors, staging impressive vocal stunts while travelers ride the rails. It eats many bugs, helps weed control, and is a good citizen of the plains.
