The community mourns Josiah Cook a leading Basin merchant born March 13 1858 in Plainfield Ohio died after a paralysis attack. He settled near Lovell then moved to Basin served three terms on the town council and built substantial property. Funeral held Sunday at 2 pm from the B church Rev J W Alboney officiated with quartet, interment Mount View cemetery.

State v Loman Jolly heard by Judge Metz with a jury. The verdict finds Jolly under 21 and the complainant Pearl Howe over 21. Visitors from Meeteetse attend wool growers convention
A. J. McDonald and several couples from Meeteetse visited town last Friday on the way home from Thermopolis where they attended the wool growers convention in three autos. The Bur Migton sale near Eaton last Tuesday drew over five hundred attendees with Col. Gropney reporting about 7000 dollars of property sold in roughly four hours.

Eclipse Of Moon Captures Nightly Spectacle
An almost total lunar eclipse occurred Wednesday evening with the shadow starting after seven and by 8 30 covering about nine tenths of the moon. The sky was clear and many residents watched the rare sight.
