Weekly Booster Club dinner plans and growth talks

The Progress Association met at the Antlers and set six o'clock weekly dinners instead of noon. Meetings will move to Antlers Hotel then Booths. A Seattle Red Cross relief request was referred to the executive committee. J. D. Johnson was chosen to respond to a Basin toast. The group endorsed W. A. Sizer for the new immigration board. Speakers covered apple industry growth, land access, and economic prospects for Basin.

Disappointed Chilcott Comments on Wealthy Plan

Mr. Chilcott expressed disappointment that Mr. Fitteh was absent to hear his remarks. He stated on Thursday before leaving Basin that he did not intend to reflect on Mr. Fiiteh but aimed to support the Wealthy proposition. He also reiterated in a boosters club talk that planting all Wealthys or any herbs was not wise.

New post office site chosen at southwest corner of B and Third

The government will place the new post office at the southwest corner of B and Third Streets opposite the Richardson home. Only two sites were considered: the courthouse plaza and the B and Third location. The plaza site remains county owned and would require title to be vested in the government, a condition leading to abandonment of that option.

Woman's Club Session Highlights Musical Program

At the regular Wo man’s club meeting Mrs Coons acted as president in Mrs Spaulding’s absence. An attractive program featured Mrs George Harris Miss Winifred Patten John P Arnott who delivered excellent numbers and earned an encore. Louise Spaulding presided at the instrument and gave an instrumental winker. Mrs Sncow in current events held attention. Mrs Bircumshaw provided the musical portion. hostesses included Mrs Mengel Mrs Anderson Mrs Ross and Mrs McClung. Harris plans a minstrel entertainment for March 21 for city delight.

Faust Returns to Ivory Grave Work in Montana Visit

E Faust former Meeteetse resident now of Manhattan Mont visited Diamond City this week to arrange monuments over the graves of his wife and son buried near Meeteetse. He reports Henry Thurston his son in law operates a leading flour mill in Manhattan with a capacity of 0 barrels per day. Faust departed for home yesterday.

Paris Dougherty Buys Oats and Plans Wheat Planting

Paris Dougherty of Tensleep district bought 7,400 pounds of White Rus oats from Carl Armeling on Wednesday. He will plant about 100 acres of new land with wheat and is feeding about 800 head of cattle, aiming for a busier year ahead in farming operations.

Fire at Denny Home Destroys West Gable

Miss Winifred Patten saw a blaze at the west gable of Joe Denny home while in the Methodist church. Volunteer firefighters, led by W. J. Booth, cut a hole in the roof to place the hose. Fire started in a bedroom closet, origin unknown, no gas. Water damage was extensive. Mrs. Denny librarian at Carnegie library board meeting. Death of George W Richardson at Antlers Hotel

George W Richardson, brother of J M Richardson, died from strangulated hernia after illness while serving as steward at the Antlers hotel. He came from St Paul March first to help his brother, born in Kentucky forty years ago, survived by two brothers, married status noted, funeral held at Baptist church with burial at Mount View cemetery.
