Bid results set for Bench Canal drainage contract
Kansas City firm W F Bullock won the drainage bid for the Bench Canal Drainage District covering 15 000 acres on Germania beach. Four bids for the drains and tile/materiel totaled 49000 to 68000 with Bullock also lowest on tile costs. Work to start immediately, finish in seventeen months as courts resolved the district’s history and the plan now calls for deeper drains and tile.
