Aviators Visit Basin Arrive by Air for Exhibitions
Phillips from Alliance Nebraska and Pilot Brooks arrived in Basin by airplane from Buffalo. They performed several flights Wednesday with skills praised compared to last year's fair. Local residents enjoyed the aerial display and renewed ties with Viva Phelan. The tour continues to Cody and then on to Portland and Seattle after showcasing in Greybull.

Thermopolis Boy Shot and Killed by Deputy Sheriff
Rudolph Peterson a 20 year old Thermopolis resident was shot by Deputy Sheriff Crooker in his home after allegedly firing at townspeople while under the influence of moonshine. Peterson died from the back wound inflicted in the incident.

A Good One on the Judge
Last week Judge Metz bought a new Franklin roadster in Billings and headed toward Basin. In Bridger a deputy sheriff questioned the car for proper credentials, claiming it violated Montana statutes. New Chamber of Commerce elects nine directors
At a well attended meeting on Monday evening the Chamber of Commerce elected nine directors whose terms expired. The nominating committee reported the slate and the nominees were unanimously approved. The board includes existing members C B Beck Wm C May and Earl Gebhart. A plan for downtown amusement during fair week was discussed with a proposed nightly carnival and costume parade.

Old Timers Picnic Promises Big Day in Booth Grove
The Old Timers picnic will be held in Booth grove on Paint Rock tomorrow with all early settlers expected to attend. The committee will provide beef coffee and cream and picnicers are asked to bring other foods. A large dance is planned in Hyattville hall tomorrow night as part of the celebration.
