Wyoming Press Association Met at Cody for 1916 Session
The Wyoming Press Association held its annual meeting in Cody on July 21 and 22 1916 with sessions in the Carnegie Library. Officers elected included J B Hanway Casper Uribune president L L Newton Cody Herald vice president and Leslie Davidson Hudson Miner secretary Cheyenne was chosen for the 1917 gathering. Resolutions urged fair treatment of advertisers northern Wyoming canal development Cody High Line and state printing within Wyoming while supporting good roads bonding and local printing. Unknown man found dead near river and railroad tracks
Ernest Borden located a dead man near the brickyard between the river and railroad lines. An inquest found the man, about 35, six feet tall with sandy hair, unknown identity, died of natural causes. A whiskey bottle, shaving brush, tie, leather chain, and cotton glove were found.
