Carey act lands lack mineral reservation in patent
A federal land office ruling dated June 25 1914 states Carey act patents to Wyoming lands do not reserve United States minerals. If minerals are later found, the US has no claim and patents would not be canceled. This clears title doubts for Carey act entrymen and supports fee simple patents where patents show no mineral reservation.
