San Francisco January 28 Will Hays announces a 174 member advisory committee on policies and platform including 19 women and 12 repeat Republicans. The group will gather data, study major problems, and advise the resolutions committee with an executive subgroup led by Ogden Mills Jr. and John O Laughlin.

Death of Mrs Sheldon on Shell Creek Ranch

The obituary notes the death of Mrs Lottie A Sheldon from heart trouble after a three week illness at her Shell creek ranch home. Born June 15 1867 in Wisconsin she married Charles Sheldon in Rapid City South Dakota Aug 21 1884 and later moved to the Big Horn Basin. Survived by husband eight children two deceased a brother J A Quiner and a large funeral attendance at the lower Shell creek cemetery led by Rev Charles Lewis.

Thief Steals Jewelry From Denver Trip

Mr and Mrs H W Horn returned from Denver where Mrs Horn lost a traveling bag with $40 in cash and nearly $1000 worth of diamonds including family heirlooms. A thief struck in a private surgeon’s office and no trace was found by police before the couple left Denver.

Pipe Line Rush Nears Completion to Refinery

Superintendent T. Armstrong pushes to finish the pipeline from Hidden Dome to the refinery early next month. Ditching nears done as a machine is moved for shipment. A Republican reporter witnessed the Dead Horse Gulch crossing where workers just stringed and welded the pipe across. The line runs across the flat east of town and will be ready to turn in the gas within days.

Last Friday evening Basin Gardens residents gathered at the school house for a social with readings and songs by children. Mr and Mrs Haysen led a special singing and Mr Haysen gave a timely talk on law and order. Refreshments followed as the community plans more entertainments in the future.

Love Feast in Cheyenne Launches 1920 Wyoming Campaign

The Cheyenne Republicans held a love feast in Cheyenne on Tuesday night to kick off the 1920 campaign. Speakers praised the Republican record in Cheyenne and attacked Washington Democrats. Governor Carey urged a Roosevelt like leader and loyalty to one flag and one language. Other speakers included Secretary Chaplin, Katharine Morton, John Hay, and state officials.
