Hesin residents awoke to a cafe burglary after about seventy dollars vanished during the night. Police and detectives searched multiple locations Monday morning, tracing clues and examining suspects as they seek the guilty party.
On Friday evening January 19 a wedding took place with regular ceremony. Dean Nash and Gaited them in marriage with few attendants. The bride wore modest attire and Mrs Thelbride arranged a late reception at the home. The couple later joined a club dance and spent the night at a friend’s home.
A planned meeting of Big Horn Basin newspaper men is set two weeks from today. The program centers on heart talks about problems facing the industry with attendees from across the country. A highlight will be a speech by Mr Gib of Billings.
After an evening program the association will hold a banquet at the Markham house at ten o'clock with The Republican and Rustler owners as hosts. Several out of town guests will attend. Basin business men welcome attendees to visit Basin stores Saturday morning to get better acquainted with Basin.
Mr and Mrs T B Sweney depart Sunday to establish residence in Tennessee. They express pride in a game they have played for themselves and hope to be as successful there as here.
Glen Leddecker arrives from Ohio to take charge of the Tony works. Foster Leddecker had recently departed to handle other interests, leaving his younger brothers to manage operations at the site.
Mrs Wyman H Wyman travels via Hsin from Trapper Creek en route to San Francisco to visit her daughter and expects to be away several weeks.
The Live Wire Club presses on with recruitment as owners debate furniture delivery and funding. Captains report progress with five lieutenants each, pledging strong squad efforts and a push to attract many new members amid ambitious plans.
A wedding took place at the Methodiet parsonage on Friday January 19 at 1 o clock Rev R M Jones uniting Miss Owens and Robert Henderson. The couple, known in Basin, left for a Denver honeymoon and plan to settle in Basin where Henderson will seek permanent work. Congratulations were extended to the newlyweds.
The article reports that a new model image machine was explored and soon to be shipped from New York. It suggests the machine will arrive in two to three weeks, supporting the opening of one of the region’s most modern painting establishments in the Big Horn Basin.

J J Marshall, 62, a long time Cody resident, died Sunday after his wife Mrs Marshall passed weeks earlier. Survived by daughters Mrs Clyde Atherly of Badin and Merv Ghas Sterreit of Cody. Remains brought to Bains on Wednesday and funeral held at the Atherly home at 10 30 a.m. next Thursday. The community mourns his loss.
Worland hosted Basin last Saturday at the Stone Schoolhouse where Basin fell 33 to 15. Lamb and Shaw led Basin with field baskets while Worland’s home team showed strong effort in the final game before a rematch planned in Worland.
T J Jones returned from Denver and Cheyenne and attended the livestock show in Denver. He says the event was a success in every way and conveys the positive impression to readers.
The second meeting of the Community Betterment League organized a permanent group at the library. Officers elected include President W A Robb Vice President R M Jones Secretary Treasurer Boyd V Osborn with Advisory Board Dean Nash and M F Newport. Next meeting set for Wednesday evening January 31.
Hard Daugherty had a serious accident about a mile and a half from Tensleep when a differentiad j on his car broke. The machine pulled with difficulty as the lsnow made it hard to go low and the mentioned part gave out. Daugherty had driven the car eighteen thousand miles without serious trouble until then.
Last Tuesday afternoon Mrs Denniwy went downtown for a few unspecified tasks. The brief note offers only fragmentary details and lacks clear outcomes or additional named entities.
A party member reported missing silverware after returning to supper. The suspect was found at the station looking for a pine to dice and was intoxicated. Stolen goods were found on him and he was penitently held. he promised to leave town on the next train, so prosecutors did not pursue charges.
The remains of Samuel P. Gilmore will be sent to his former home at Centerville Missouri. Gilmore died of pulmonary tuberculosis on January 22 after coming to Basin in search of a wealthier way of life. He is survived by his wife and four children in poor circumstances. The Odd Fellows took charge of the remains and will bury him in Centerville.
Last Friday an eight man crowd watched Cowley overtake Burrington in a basketball game ending 32 to 8. R. B. Weat made a brief trip to Loveté this week, traveling Wednesday evening and returning yesterday.

Bills include revisions to taxation and divorce decree laws, irrigation support, railroad delay notices, and a proposal to set aside state land for a settler trust fund. The district expresses pride in his work and urges continued transparency.

The Old Timers of the Big Horn Basin plan a Feb 12 gathering at Basin in the stone sobdal halls. Events include a 3 pm regular meeting, a 7 pm old fashioned round up supper, reminiscences by association members, and a dance with the Old Timers Orchestra. Space limits limit attendance to those age 2 and over, babes dourse excluded.
