Peace talk fuels Bryan following Wilson tour

Washington reports say former Secretary of State William J. Bryan may join President Wilson on a national defense speaking tour to advocate peace. Labor unions, Senator Kern, and Representative Kitchen oppose the administration policy. Bryan writes from Florida he will go wherever he can aid the peace cause. Wilson plans eight to nine Midwest stops after January 27 in New York, then a week away from Washington to address the Railroad Business Association and Moton Picture Board of Trade.

Senate split over action on Mexican situation

Republican members of the senate foreign relations committee push for definite congressional action on Mexico while Democrats insist no legislation should move until the president acts. County wide farmers meetings scheduled in Laramie county

The university agricultural department and A H Tedman announce a series of meetings across the county starting with Cowley on the 24th. Lovell hosts the longest session February 26 to 29, with a short course format. Other gatherings occur at Huron Kane Basin Shell Manderson, finishing in Big Horn county on February 4. Sessions cover sugar beets forage crops dairying and include a ladies section and an illustrated lecture.

A. H. Tedman reports a very good meeting in Laramie where county agricultural agents gathered with university authorities. They discussed questions of statewide importance and how to better serve farmers, leaving with a bigger sense of the work's significance.

Old Timers Meeting Nears Annual Big Horn Basin Event

The Old Timers will meet at William Gibson's home next Sunday at 2 30 PM to finalize plans for the February 12 annual gathering. A large supper picture show and dance are planned and crowds are expected as pioneers of the Big Horn Basin reunite to reminisce and share old dances. The detailed program will be announced next week.

Burlington Burglar Breaks His Way To Jail

Fred Stagg of Greybull country was captured by Sheriff Wickwire after railway depart from Burlington. He used small change to buy tickets and paid for valuables stolen from a Burlington store with nickels and dimes. The stolen items were found on him, he admitted guilt, and authorities await the accomplice who fled.

Woman's Club to Host Jan 26 Musical Program

On Wednesday Jan 26 the Woman's Club program will be led by Mrs F B Vincent featuring a special musical program. In February the Indian Day program will be led by Mrs M B Nash and Mrs Hester Moberly. Wednesday Margarite Clark stars in The Seven Sisters. Last Wednesday Ralph Johnson was operated on for appendicitis and is recovering well. Cody cattleman heads to Denver for livestock show

W. A. Kepford of Cody visited Thursday then left for Denver to attend the national livestock show and purchase a carload of pure white face bulls while feeding the Coe cattle on Germania beach.
