A Worland rancher J M Rhodes was found insane in a lunacy inquest by a jury including officials from Bell Telephone and the municipal light plant. The verdict ordered transfer to the state hospital for treatment. Rhodes has a wife and children in Council Bluffs and will be placed under deputy guard while arrangements for support and estate protection are made.

Latimer Collapses on Street in St Louis
On a Wednesday near noon Z Latimer a traveling salesman from a wood turning company in safety fell in front of Fred Garland’s Myvery stable from a heart attack. John Davis passing by assisted Latimer who grew faint and unconscious. C D Markham driving to the noon train rushed to Pioneer restaurant for Dr Carter who answered the call. Davis cared for Latimer while Markham returned with the doctor who ordered removal to the Markham House.

Young men Harry Duncan and Leonidas LaCroix faced a Worland preliminary examination for the shooting of Cortez the Mexican. Prosecutor West led for the state as Judge Williams bound both defendants over to the next criminal court session in $1,000 bail each. they remain jailed in Basin until posting.
