The Worland boosters travel to Basin for an inspiring visit. They tour local sites, meet community leaders, and discuss upcoming events and school improvements.
Worland businessmen visited Basin for a luncheon and a program of impromptu speeches to boost community ties and sugar beet prospects. speakers urged factory expansion, land for beets, and mutual cooperation with Basin in pursuing new jobs and a Worland factory.
A regional gathering featured many delegates from Worland and nearby towns as visitors toured a pottery exhibit in the library reading rooms. The show, collected by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, highlighted fifteen distinct American pottery collections before moving on to the next stop. Also noted was a First National Bank meeting where J. Stewart was elected vice president to oversee real estate and related banking duties. Ed Garothere, H. T. Harris, and John Luman attended.
Mr. and Mrs Homer T Lamb and Mr. and Mrs Harry Hime plan to stay at the Lamb home to care for the children. Mr Lamb left for Denver and Mrs Lamb joined him, then they traveled to Indianapolis and other points of interest. They will be gone about a month.
County library presents exhibitions of American pottery and books with special showcases for children. The Friday program includes Edison and Vicuridia concert and a dramatized novel at Big Horn Theatre. Saturday features subject readings, pupil performances, and school-related exhibits. Sunday offers a full library day with poverty-related talk. Monday highlights Pioneer Day access and Edison concert. The library invites taxpayer groups to use facilities and arrange book collections for reading and exhibits.

She warned attendance is the weakest area and urged uniform text books if Beho code recommends. A county wide book exchange and educational exhibit plan aim to boost reading and school pride. Royn Leedom of Lovell Chronicle visited Basdin midweek for the newspaper men’s meeting. Local officials and attendees included Bydut Pexton Gould and Senator Randall.
Lawnb Derdiime Co. works at Manderson drilling to 5000 feet into a bone dry hole. Mt. Stites Co. of Montana joins Bridger area with Lekinecker Tool Co. repairs. blacksmith to arrive next week. Grass Creek has two or three strings active, weather may boost business soon. Fast Landing and Rease sue F. A. Whitney to claim tide on Jocagon where operations began. Stockton of Liberty Oil & Gas Co. returns to Seattle after a short visit. Four drills active near Wa Dry. James M. Mast returned Saturday.
The Great Western Sugar company promotes farming in the Big Horn Basin noting sugar beet farming boosts irrigation, worker housing, and local crops. Superintendent W P Hogar highlights stable deals, multiple Colorado factories, and hundreds of acres used to feed 95,000 cattle with beet byproducts while listing farmers moving into the region to cultivate lands and join railroad access.
