Carr Returns From Cheyenne Meeting on Immigration Board

D L Carr returned Wednesday from Cheyenne where he attended a meeting of the state immigration board of which he is a member. The board reviewed the immigration situation with Commissioner C B Hill and discussed plans for an active campaign in 1920. The commissioner has expended about $6400 of the $25,000 appropriation, with the balance expected to fund intensive yearlong activity. Carr remains convinced the Big Horn Basin is Wyoming’s garden spot, as crops elsewhere were poor while this district enjoyed bountiful yields. The commissioner plans a future visit to gather information for promoting the region’s resources.
