Pathfinders Return After Mountain Trip to Basin Banquet

A party of pathfinders and supporters traveled from Manderson to Basin yesterday, spending the night in Worland. Includes Ben M. Woods and other regional officials. A banquet at Antlers was held with praise for local road work and commitment to building a highway over the Big Horns to spur tourism and economic development.

State Fair Notes from Wyoming's Big Horn County

The Wyoming state fair plans to exhibit Chihuahua cattle from Mexico and elk from D F Hudan. A stock sale in Charlotte on October 1 and 2 will feature pure bred stock and feeder steers with BE. D. Siell of Cambridge, Nebraska, as auctioneer. R D Moneell of Cambridge will judge beef herds while J W Harrison of Indianola judges draft horses. Lectures by Prof B C Buffum and Prof O W Trumbull cover crops, soils, and petroleum geology. Track entries and high purses promise an exciting fair with notable races and exhibitions.

Norris Dominates Big Shoot Contests in Butte

In Butte, Mont, Norris leads all contestants with a 146 straight run and a 197 of 200, as Nottie Weatherhead win the Manhattan cup two man race. J C Novin of Basin takes the Brownlee Medal with 99 of 100 and tops 275 targets. Norris wins the individual championship cup and high average for the shoot, while prize details detail fruit premiums and fair payments in Big Horn County.
