Rural teacher institute session on weekend program

The Rural Teachers Institute opened with attendance from many rural districts. Miss Pear Gall led a discussion on history and value of teaching while Prof. J C Creager spoke on practical rural classroom methods. Sessions covered discipline, parental involvement, and school atmosphere with emphasis on character and citizenship.

Progressive Association Car Exhibit Plans Detailed

Frank Gapen of Myattvisie was named to lead the exhibit car for the Progress Association with W G Collinge and J P Pes appointed to coordinate the visit and determine compensation. A new emblem was approved and 100 buttons ordered for $20 total, to be sold for 60 cents each. The minutes note road work on Elk Creek, pending east side opening, and a state fair exhibit prepared by a committee. The Town endorses cluster street lighting and urges Fraternity Hall to install it.

Welcome Home D Company D Boys From Cheyenne

City crowds form a bend of locals to greet returning members of Company D from Cheyenne. The event aims to honor Bas and civic pride while the battalion transfers to the first battalion. Company D wins first prize at Wheatland camp

A telegram to The Republican reports Company D took first prize sixty dollar cup for the best drill sanitation and discipline at Wheatland camp. Regular army officers judged. Company D also won the regimental track meet and a cup. Thermopolis won the ball game and Lovell took the shoot. Citizens praise the camp's honor and welcome the recipients.

John Everett had bought a high wheel International auto from G. W. Black for delivery use. In Greybull the machine broke down and overnight brass mountings and parts vanished. A clue pointed to a man near Germania, a search warrant was issued, and Officer Cusack searched the area with possible arrest to follow.

Street Update on Frank James After Surgery

Frank James, who underwent a delicate operation at the Shell Hospital last week, was seen on the street yesterday. A piece of his skull or large av dolien was removed and his rapid recovery impressed even his physician Dr. Canter. James appears to have fully recovered mentally and could return home soon.
