Convention Planned for Fair with Highway Delegates
Anson Higby of the fair board announced that J D Gallup of Buffalo, vice president of the Black and Yellow highway association, will visit with the pathfinder tour this month. A convention is planned for September 24 25 with delegates from along the highway route expected. An annex will be built on the south end of the alfalfa palace to provide a hall for the gathering. The event aims to put Basin on the map as originators of the alfalfa palace and showcase soil prodvets on display. Jake Gete Honors J Norris won prizes at the Western Handicap in Omaha and led his class with a top score of 235. He was banqueted by powder company representatives and plans to attend the Pacific coast shoot next month, likely adding to Basin's fame.
