Great Bend Commencement On Saturday Evening

The common School Commencement will be held in Great Bend Saturday night January at 8 p.m. This closes one of the largest in county history with 54 graduates, 42 of whom pursue the mural field. Prof William A Keevar of Sana will deliver the address. Last Saturday morning Shortt Dalley received a telegram from Sheent Porter of Latimita asking for the arrest of John Hopker alias Jas Dorsett. Dalley located a man fitting the description at Hush New-Kirk's and brought him in. The information from Latunta came down Monday and the man was Ha was wanted for burglary.

County Sunday School Event and Wedding Report

The county Sunday School session drew attendees from across the county and local church workers. A marriage occurred Wednesday afternoon as Mabel May Becker wed Wot Lillck at Judge Hall's office, followed by a reception at the bride’s parents home. Dr. Berger, pastor of the First Presbyterian, preached the Spearville High School graduation sermon on Sunday morning at the Methodist church. The church was crowded as he spoke on "Vitton and Life" with many thoughtful observations.

Special Session Board of County Commissioners May 18 1922

Kansas Barton County held a special session to review flood damaged county bridges. Fifteen bridges across Great Bend area towns suffered washouts from late recent floods. estimated repair cost around 16,000. The board postponed final action to the June meeting. Matt Dick, Chairman. Normal Institute Opens With Focus On Model Close Work
