Shaler predicts silver as value measure amid gold decline
Harvard geologist Prof H B Shaler told 600 students in Sanders Theatre Cambridge that if gold falls, silver will become the international value token. He foresees a century of rising gold supply from new dredging, with substantial American, Russian, Indian, African and Australian production, potentially flooding markets and lowering value.
