Wreck on Rock Island line at Maple Hill claims two lives
A Rock Island wreck near Maple Hill this morning killed Thomas Johnson and James Parsons both of Indian Territory, and injured two others, James Lewis and John Cobb of Ryan Texas. The stock train and a special watermelon train collided. the way car and five stock cars were demolished as confusion in orders is blamed.

A Kansas City Journal special details boys in Barton and Rush counties forming a sleuthing band that helped convict Guy Connors for stealing 70 bushels of wheat from C Werkian’s farm warehouse in December 1905. The youths tailed Connors, hid along roads, and gave evidence leading to his conviction.
