To whom Gee Mansoll, a German immigrant and early Bartoon County settler, died after a lengthy illness. He resided near Nixarm, then moved to Great Bend. Survived by wife and seven children. Funeral at German Lutheran Church on Feb 5.
Sleenes Maloney a one month old daughter of Mr and Mrs Maloney of the south side died Sunday morning after a short illness from scarlet fever. The infant was buried in the cemetery at Ellinwood on Monday.
A baby boy named Hebert Bookey died Saturday night at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jolson, on the south side. He was two months old. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon. The cause of death was given as the illness.
A Meade home talent act drew a debate in the local paper over tights and perceptions. The column discusses propriety, public response, and calls for careful conduct by performers and observers.
The Rebekahs enjoyed a social evening Tuesday with members of the order present. Several talks on The Good of the Order were given, names of Brothers and Sitters noted, and all attended a banquet after the event. Chris Heres and Herman Web attended the visit this morning paying a formal call.
