Great Bend Lodge Officers Elected and Installed

The annual meeting of Great Bend Lodge No. A. F. & A. M. elected and installed officers led by Master J. E. McMahen and S. W. Clarence Heaton. Rome Study Club Hosts Seasonal Meeting

The Rome Study Club met with Mrs Thomas Clayton as hostess on Monday with Mrs C W Dawson as leader. A back paper was read by Mrs D C Luse followed by talks on rulers from Ferdinand III to Frederick William III by Mrs Black. Mrs Méring discussed serialism in Germany and German monasteries with mix Reinhard. Mrs Sam Ketlam and others spoke as the group enjoyed refreshments and a Christmas treat.

Mrs Carter Dies After Illness in Dodge City Family Notices

Mrs C B Carter died Sunday after a heart illness. She was 57 years, 8 months and 20 days old. Funeral at Presbyterian church Wednesday at 2 pm with interment in the local cemetery. Survived by her husband and eight children including Mrs Kessler of Creston and Mrs Measle. The family, former residents, moved from here to Dodge City recently and will be mourned by many friends. Charity Ball Promises Successful Local Benefit

Mrs Ray Hulme and the Miss Tetet announce a charity ball to raise funds for the poor. Tickets are selling fast with souvenirs for all attendees. Light music, promising patronage from neighboring towns, and generous proceeds after expenses to aid Christmas for the city poor. Weather has been cold but dry, with minimal sunshine and light snowfall recently. Mr and Mrs George Cooper, visiting from Haven Kansas, were in the city en route to La Junta Colorado to visit relatives.

Agricultural Wealth In North Dakota Reaches New High

The 1913 agricultural output and livestock values total about 38.26 million dollars, far surpassing 1912 and 1913 figures. Wheat and corn lead in value, with sorghums and barley strong, while milk cow production rises and horses and mules decline.
