Obituary of Stella Waters of No. 4 community
Mrs Stella Waters formerly Stella Gwinn died after an operation in Wichita. She was daughter of Harve and Mrs Gwinn and aunt to Sam and Robert Shipin. Once a resident of this county the family moved to Oklahoma years ago. She married Charles Waters a traveling salesman and leaves two children, husband, parents, and siblings. Funeral held at Presbyterian church with burial in Great Bend cemetery. Relatives from Ford County and Wellington attended.

Leslie Doonan north of East of Lown suffers several hundred dollars in losses as a sickness sweeps through his cattle. Fourteen calves dead and Green Wilson reports similar losses among his stock. A wet corn fodder feed preceded illness and deaths in the herd. In a separate incident a small boy and a hitch attempted arson at W. S. Nelson’s home with a safety match. clothes in Nelson’s room were burned but fire was stopped.

Great Bend Occupation Tax Rejected by Voters
