Death of Judge Clayton in Colorado Is Relayed
Judge Joshua Clayton born in Bradford England 1525 died August 23 1905 at Whitewater Colorado. He married Mary Woodhead in 1845 and moved to the United States with three children in 1886. The family later lived in Wise county Wisconsin Kansas City Missouri and Paola before settling in Great Bend Kansas. He served as probate judge in Miami county and was active in mining interests. His son James Clayton of Topeka and Thomas Clayton of Great Bend and other relatives survive. The remains will be brought to the community for burial.
