Do Drop Inn Proprietors Survive Highway Crash
Mr and Mrs W H Ross owners of the Do Drop Inn escaped injury when their 1931 Studebaker coupe flipped after a vehicle cut in ahead of them eight miles north of San Bernardino. The female driver suffered a minor arm scratch while her male companion had a gash above one eye. The car was disabled by a broken steering knuckle and shattered windows. The couple aided the injured and Ross repaired the steering wheel to enable them to continue toward San Bernardino. The man refused hospital care and the pair later found the other occupant walking by the wreck. Estimated speed at impact was 60 to 65 mph.
