Barstow mourns the death of 38 year old Guy W. Cannon manager of the Home Supply Co. store here. He had recently moved from Ludlow and previously worked in Williams Arizona and at National City. He is survived by his mother Mrs FE M Cannon and two sisters. The funeral was held at his home with interment in Barstow cemetery. The mother and sister were ill with influenza at the time but recovering.

The 19 year old Ray Riche son of Mr and Mrs W R Richie died at his parents Barstow home on November 23 1918 after a five or six day illness from influenza He had recently passed a medical to join the aviation corps and was visiting home while awaiting a call to camp Funeral services were held Monday afternoon with interment in Barstow cemetery.
