The Railroad Commission denied R F Kamp the right to operate an automobile stage service for passengers and express between Mojave and Lone Pine. A similar order was previously issued regarding Pickwick Stages on the same route.
The Supreme Court ruled that intoxicating liquors cannot be lawfully brought aboard American or foreign ships within three miles of U S shores even under seal. The decision notes that outside the three mile limit American vessels may sell intoxicants to passengers, and it does not challenge foreign ships rights.

A Cleveland party left their Cadillac Sedan parked overnight near the Harvey House. The next morning several items were missing including a camera. The owner asks the thief to return the exposed roll of film to Margaret Snowden at 10725 Hathaway Ave. Cleveland Ohio, with no questions asked.
Sheriff Walter Shay and deputies escorted Mr. Jensen from Barstow to San Bernardino. Jensen, resident east of Barstow, is charged again with violating Volstead laws after a prior three month stay as a guest of the sheriff. He was working on a Barstow house under construction when arrested.
A. H. Pendleton installed a new four drawer cash register at the City Meat Market. He added thousands of dollars of equipment including a refrigerating plant and an ice making machine. A row of refrigerated showcases and two large boxes exist, with four helpers now assisting. A Ford ton truck was added to haul meat between the express office and the market.
A Lash's Root Beer barrel is installed at White & Platt drug store. An electric welding machine has also been added in the jewelry department enabling welding on jewelry and small pieces or broken rims.
