Venice Ship Cafe Orchestra to Play Here Monday Night
The Ship Cafe Orchestra, famed in Venice, will perform for a Barstow dance on Monday night June 16. People from Victorville Oro Grande Daggett Verma Hinkley and Rand district are expected to attend as the district enjoys top music and dancing. Tickets cost 1.50 for gentlemen and 0.50 for extra ladies.

July Fourth Celebration Planned for Yermo
Yermo residents announce a large Fourth of July program with contests against Barstow, races, a tug of war, a pie eating and greased pig contest, and an open air dance. Farrington to Return as Barstow Teacher Next Term
E. A. Farrington and his wife will return to Barstow Union High School next term after winding up affairs here and moving back to El Monte where the Farringtons have resided for ten years. Barstow Grammar School Graduation Held with Program
Last night the Barstow grammar school graduation featured a musical and literary program in the auditorium. Prof E Barnes of Redlands High delivered an engaging address as sixteen graduates received diplomas. Each student received four carnations and a handkerchief from A H Pendleton and Mrs Lillian Jones, as the Parent Teacher Association hosted a reception afterward.
