A troop train from Camp Bowie Texas on the Wixburg Shreveport & Pacific line overturned into a ditch 17 miles from Shreveport leaving six soldiers with serious injuries. W R Scott appointed Federal manager of the Western Pacific and SP lines south of Ashland Oregon and west of Ogden and El Paso. appointment effective July 1.
