State Board Sets 1924 Expenses Without Ad Valorem Tax
On June 17 the state board of equalization said the 40 million dollar 1924 expense goal will be met from usual revenue sources with no ad valorem tax. Revenues show gains across gas and power, banks, insurance, and franchises totaling nearly 4 million, offset by disputed railroad amounts. The governor directs funds and a 4 million drawing reserve for agencies amid financial stress. Please tell advertisers you saw their advertisement in the Printer.
