Mining boom brings bankers to Kelly mine in Mojave
In February 1920 Los Angeles reports bankers and mining engineers examined the Kelly mine with former Sheriff John W. Kelly present. They praised the site as a premier silver strike since the original discovery at Lonopah, noting ore grades from 1,000 to 5,000 ounces per ton. The Grady shaft has shipped 27 carloads of high grade ore. A 10 cent per share extra dividend is planned in March, lifting total fourteen month dividends to $588,000 for Kelly stockholders.
