Brother of Mrs Layman Dies in U S Service
Word arrived of the death of W H A Pike brother of Mrs. Layman. He was senior lieutenant on the destroyer McCall and died of pneumonia at base hospital No 4 Queenstown Ireland. Buried at Reno Nevada with arrival expected early January. Pike an Annapolis graduate and once led a San Diego gun crew to a world record for marksmanship. Mrs Layman and her little daughter travel to Reno to spend holidays with her mother Mrs W H A Pike.
