Nine passenger coaches left at Colton depot

Nine passenger coaches were left standing at Colton depot Wednesday afternoon at 4 30. The train had been made up on the way carrying nine carloads of passengers one mail car and one express car. The engine was detached and run to the roundhouse. Sixty one soldiers and 40 passengers bound north remain as guests of the railroad at Barstow.

Barstow Union High School announces September 15 as the start date for the new school year in a renovated building.
