Grand Canyon grand expedition by sea sled planned
Alan Le Baron, a scientist, plans a 300 mile upstream voyage from Needles to the Green and Colorado rivers in a sea sled craft designed to skim rapids. Eight scientists will join for five months, filming and studying canyon walls for hieroglyphics and traces of ancient man. The Le Baron Archeological Expedition aims to be the first of its kind. Also report ore finds by George St. Clair at Whitlock group and a no accident day on May 1 led by the American Child Health Association with Hoover as president.
