Field Comfort Totals Aid From Many Communities
Field Comforts collected 670 pairs of socks 150 magazines 50 cakes of soap and various small comforts shipped this week 160 sent by mail with rest to Field Comforts Commission. Volunteers from Crown Hill Craighurst Edgar Edenvale Guthrie Gilford Holly Lefroy Mitchell Square Stroud and Shanty Bay aided Allandale to fill boxes. Pupils at BCI 4th Form St Mary's School and Ovenden receive special mention. A gift of 100 from Herbert Fortier Jacksonville Florida and 25 from Guthrie via Capt Cameron lecture proceeds noted by Mrs Stewart.
