Red Cross Meeting in Barrie Promotes War Effort

A large audience gathered at the Barrie Opera House for a Red Cross fundraising and morale-boosting meeting led by Judge Vance and M B Tudhope of Orillia. The event featured Soldiers' Aid nurses as ushers and the 477th Battalion Band, with calls for increased donations to support Canadian Red Cross work and war relief.

Railway Company seeks Act to alter statute wording

Application to Parliament will be made by the Toronto Barrie and Orillia Railway Company to the Ontario Legislature at the next session for an Act bringing into force an Act respecting the Company being Chapter 83 Statutes of Ontario 1915 and substituting the words coming into force for the word passing in Section Three.
