At the Well ington Hotel banquet in Coldwater the Simcoe County Council presented Warden Charles H. Eplett with a gold watch and chain in recognition of four years of service. The event featured non member speeches, music by The Melody Men, and a large representative turnout including mayors, MPs, and councilors. Ex-Warden James Moore chaired. Eplett expressed thanks and vowed continued county interest.

Fourth man in Draper hold up given sentence in pen
At the Orillia Police Court on Thursday Magistrates Hewson Clark and Gover sentenced Russell Perrin the fourth man implicated in the Draper hold up to five years and six months in Kingston Penitentiary. He pleaded guilty to robbing Manning Hardware at Coldwater and was convicted of further robberies including the Oro Creamery and a rifle theft from Lorne Draper.
