Homer Brooke a longtime St Albans farmer and real estate dealer died at his St. Albans Point home after two years of illness. Born March 29, 1844, he married Dimillin Farwell in Boston on November 16, 1888. He worked in Ironit for 11 years in general mercantile, creamery, and butter manufacture before returning to St Albans. Survived by four sons, a daughter, a brother, and other family members.
Brattleboro September 20 opening session of the Vermont Baptist state convention was held at 7 30 pm in the Baptist church. Rev J Harrison Thompson Randolph presided over the State Young People’s union. Rev J W Collins Newport read scripture, Rev Ralph M Jones Chester offered favor, Rev Dr C A Raton New York gave principal address, benediction by Rev W C Goodwin South Londonderry.
