Burlington September 25 The committee in charge of the Burlington Base Ball association stock drive report selling over 89,000 shares, adding about $1,000 to the first day’s work. Several lending businessmen remain un interviewed and the committee believe more than $9,000 can be added.
New York report from Bath Beach notes Bob Fitzsimmons and George Gardner will clash at the Yosemite club in late November. Pipree of Boston and James Ly of the Yosemite Athletic Club helped arrange the 20 round bout for Gardner's lightweight title time.
A movement in Rutland Vermont aims to acquire the old state house on West Street for use as a museum. The building dates from 1775 and hosted the Vermont legislature from 1754 to 1806, alternating with Windsor. The first U S district court met there on May 1 1791.

The service for the deceased was led by Mr. Jones of Barre with readings from a funeral eulogy. The burial at Green Mount Cemetery was conducted by the Bikes society from Manila, with Williare Miller of Montpelier I Watts W Carter and B Burnham from Rutland in charge.
Silas Beckwith, a longtime resident of West Burke, died instantly when stepping back and falling through a hole in a barn floor. His wife heard his call and sought help. Beckwith left a widow and siblings in Newport Town Canada and California.
White River Junction Vermont September 26 Percival W Clement of Rutland stopped in town on a pleasure trip and then proceeded to the Windsor County Fair at Woodstock Local politicians speculated he might be courting support for the governorship but there was no clear motive beyond leisure travel
The Freshmen of the University of Vermont won both heats in a Friday morning race on the lake. The event featured crews from the upper class selecting their heaviest hands, and after two minutes the score showed 12 to 7. In the second race, sixteen men from each class competed, with the Freshmen prevailing 11 to 3.

Miss Elsie Cole daughter of Wat at 00 Seatuary street and Arche Crawford of Rochester were married at the Church of the Good Shepherd this morning. The ceremony was performed by Toberts, with Alice Gole as bridesmaid and Way Cole Jr as best man. After a wedding breakfast at the bride’s home the couple left for Lyndonville and then Rochester to reside. Both are well known in Barre and deserve best wishes for their future happiness.
A large party of friends in Soesaste was hosted for Mr. and Mrs. married Tuesday. About 120 people attended the Knights of F hall event on Saturday evening. Guests danced, socialized, and refreshments were served in a pleasant, festive atmosphere.
Williamstown reporters say the John Comolli granite cutting firm has sold its Williamstown operation. Lathrop J Teotee and L C Barber Montpelier take over the plant, resuming operations under new management.
J. W. Drahasa of Upper Cabot charged with theft and larceny in Montpelier. Ernest Folsom of Marshfield indicted for larceny, information filed by the state's attorney. Both men were held at the jail and await plea and bail terms tomorrow afternoon.
