Burlington September 27 Chief of fire C A Niles and firefighter George Martello were thrown about 20 feet when a horse pulling a department wagon bolted on North avenue. Niles suffered facial lacerations, a sprained shoulder, and broken teeth. Martello had a severe head wound. Both were treated by Dr. P E B McSwenny and expected to be off duty several days.
