Pershing to Succeed Mills as Major General

Left His Family North Fairfax Sept 26 Turner Jr and Miss Coolidge Arrested

Frank Turner Jr of Rutland and Miss Butt Coolidge of North Claendon were arrested at Mrs. Turner’s sister’s home in North Fairfax by St Albans police on request of Rutland officers. Turner, 30, and Coolidge, 17, were taken to Franklin County jail. Turner’s daughter Florence, about six, was with them. Turner claimed he planned to leave his wife, seek work, and send money home. The girl said Turner threatened her and forced her to accompany him after meeting at the station.

Taken to County Court in Adultery Case

Barre officers with State’s Attorney Gleason arrested Mrs Gladys Brothers of Montpelier at River Street home and Alexander Shea of Montpelier in connection with alleged adultery offenses.
