Deadly Interurban Collision Near Fort Wayne

A head-on crash seven miles north of Marion on the Port and Valley line killed forty and injured seven, involving northbound and southbound interurban cars at a sharp curve. Names of victims and witnesses span Fort Wayne, Bluffton, Uniondale, and Marion. wreckage blocked roads as doctors and authorities transported the injured to Fort Wayne and Bluffton hospitals.

Lynn Man Kills Wife Then Ends His Life

In Lynn Massachusetts on September 22 Gabriel Suprin 23 Elizabeth Street shot his wife in their yard wounding her and then fatally shot himself after a police pursuit. Bridge Fire Ends With Replacement Plan

Fire tore through the Central Vermont covered bridge between Granite and Blackwell Lee. A chemical engine sprayed water as flames neared structural timbers. The bridge proved too damaged and will be replaced soon with a new structure already on the ground. Sparks from engines likely ignited the woodwork as in past incidents.

Auto knockdown in Burlington injures local man

Adolph Finher a fourmaker of 40 Colchester avenue was struck by a car on Church street near College. The wheel passed over his body but he escaped serious injuries. Driver Charles A Kerr of 72 South Windoski avenue a Vermont University professor remained at the scene. Finher was helped up and walked to a cab, then sent home accompanied by colleagues.

Girl S Arm Broken After Fall From School Steps
