Gen Theodoroff head of the Bulgarian delegation proclaimed after terms of peace were formally presented in Paris that the Bulgarian people were not responsible for the horrors of war. He pledged Bulgaria would assume responsibilities for the war's consequences.
Theodoroff, Bulgarian envoy, admits faults in war and argues Bulgaria will bear consequences within equity. He blames Ferdinand and Radoslavoff for entry, claims Bulgarians not to blame for all, cites 25 days to present observations on the treaty, and notes Thrace and economic outlet issues dominate talks. Attendees include Polk and Crowe as part of a broad conference lineup.
Paris reports the execution of Pierre Lenoir, convicted of relaying military intelligence, was postponed after a late military justice action. Soldiers from the 7th artillery guarded Vincennes forest where the firing squad stood by. Lenoir remained calm and requested to be confronted with Joseph Caillaux before execution.

Edward T. Daley of Burlington faces a manslaughter charge over the death of Hazel Rugg, 20, struck by a car Wednesday night. Daley was charged after police found a lip of glass near the scene and after State's Attorney Martin consulted with authorities. Daley, arrested after initially facing reckless driving, claims to have been in Williston and denies involvement. investigators seek occupants of the automobile.

Nettie Maria Hateh, 3, wife of Fred G Hateh, died yesterday in Concord after moving from Wouleville four years ago. A Montpelier native, she joined the White River Valley Rebekah lodge in Vermont. She is survived by two sons Harold and Towellyn of this city and a brother Frank R. Smith of West Lebanon.
New York reports five thousand British women planned to arrive in the United States to seek American husbands. She notes the brides so far include 160 Czecho Slovaks among 22 nationalities.

Under increased legislature appropriations the Department of Agriculture expects tests to reach about 3 000 head this year, up from 14 384 last year, with a positive impact on herd eradication efforts. Foggy morning in Greenfield Massachusetts reports Mrs Eleanor Austin age 94 of Barberton Ohio killed when a guy wire of a high tension electric transmission system snagged their car on the Mohawk trail near Shelburne mountain. Her husband A. O. Austin was slightly injured. Mrs Austin suffered a broken neck as the wire swept them from the vehicle on their way from Greenfield to North Adams.
Boston police recruitment expands as Abandonment of pay and court action in support of striking officers prompts a special meeting of the Central Labor Union to discuss a possible general strike. Curtin launches a state wide push to replace strikers with recruits, offering 400 first year pay and free weapons. The 641 patrolmen force includes 408 experienced officers, with many applicants from overseas service seeking municipal patrol training.
Boston Sept 10 members of the Brookline fire department affiliated with the American Federation of Labor are considering surrendering their charter. A vote date has not been set but officials say sentiment in fire houses is strongly against continuing in the department.

Mineola New York September 1 1928 the Lawson air liner carried fourteen passengers including five crew members on the first leg to Washington on a planned trans continental flight. The aircraft met strong gusty winds but landed safely in Washington DC after a layover in Chephine and will continue to Dayton.

May Powers of Island Pond was found asleep on Burlington Piazza after arriving on a Wednesday night train. Police say she told an unclear story of being invited by women to ride around the city, and she was taken into care by Mrs. Austin, the police matron. Her home is Ishend Pond and she left Monday night for Greenville NH. Her tale contains inconsistencies, and authorities will contact her parents.
Report from Quebec states bandits who robbed the Codan Limited mail car near Harlaka yesterday obtained BIW. instead of $75,000. Five mail employees were questioned on arrival and several others are being followed. The bandits have disappeared in the vicinity near Harluka.
