Collision in Fog Kills 25 at Canaan New Hampshire

A foggy early Sunday crash on the Boston and Maine line near Canaan New Hampshire killed 25 and injured over 30 when a southbound Quebec express collided head on with a northbound freight due to a dispatcher cipher error. The wreck halted traffic as rescuers worked through dawn light, with victims moved to Concord and assessments at Hanover and Manchester hospitals.

Middlesex Girl Dies After Poison Attempt at South Barre Home

Sophronia Lawrence a Middlesex girl died after taking Paris Green at the home of Elson Spencer in South Barre. A night plan to end her life followed trouble with her father. Investigators and doctors described severe agony and noted a letter and a hat addressed to Frank Landry amid the scene.

Wreck Cleared After Late North Illinois Train Delay

Wreckage was cleared from the track at 4 45 P M yesterday in Canaan Illinois. Paul Aided Rescuers After Montreal Train Wreck
