Athens Sept 14 King George announces he will abdicate unless the Crown Prince is restored to command of the army. He says pledges from other powers bar any royal family member from claiming the throne if he abdicates, making a republic likely and blocking any child succession.
Washington bankers gathered for a full session starting at ten o clock as President Reynolds opened the meeting. Governors Dineen and Joseph Talbot spoke, reports were heard from the secretary and treasurer, and A Watts presented the executive council’s report. Brattleboro Sept 14 Rev Henderson B Streeter oldest Hinsdale resident marked his 97th birthday Sunday at home. The longtime Michigan and Ohio native lived in Timens and was a preacher in Timens. Two of his children, Mrs S A Birke of Portland Oregon and John J Strester editor at Vineland New Jersey, survive.

A reception followed at Mr and Mrs EA Prindle’s Keith Avenue home before they traveled to Plainfield and then a Canadian wedding tour. they will reside at 98 Keithart. Nicholson is foreman at Cutler Storer Pay Granite.
Mrs. George Conolly and her children from Danville plan a visit at the home of her brother Frank Humel. Also arriving are G. Hutchineau from Washington and Werner from New York, among others.
