Frock Tompkink, 45, indicted for first degree murder in the shooting of Susan Spencer, 70, near Little Rest last August, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter. Justice Morschauver sentenced him in Dutchess County Supreme Court to not less than ten years nor more than thirteen years and six months. Tompkink claimed the gun fired accidentally, and the weapon was discarded after the shooting.
