Imperial forces have occupied Hankow and Wu Chang has capitulated to Imperial Troops. Telegraphs from Lieut Gen Feng Kwo Chang report Hankow fully occupied yesterday and Nanking prospects are that its fall is imminent.
Telegraph dispatches from Hankow report imperialist forces capturing Hanyang after fierce fighting. Rebels suffered heavy losses and fled. Protests against abdication pressure grew as Tiwan aligned with republican elements forming nationwide security. General Greene confirmed troops across the Han River. Tibetan Chinese groups showed sympathy for revolutionaries.
New Haven Conn Nov 28 Samuel Higgins general manager of the New York New Haven Hertford taltrans will retire at year end after a leave of absence. T J Horn assistant to the president will be named vice president in charge of operating under the appointment to take effect January first. The changes were announced by President Mellen today.
Governors of seven western states started a special train tour to showcase westward products to eastern states. Delegates include Adolph A. Eberhart Minnesota I M Carey Wyoming John Burke North Dakota E L Norris Montana B R Vensey South Dakota Oxnald Went Oregon James H Hawley California Colorado and Washington will appoint. Gov Oldie Nevada joins at Chicago to foster closer commercial ties and attract immigration and investment.
City Attorney B L Scott Chief of Police Samuel Sinclair and Dr GF Camp attended a Montpelier hearing before Judge F J Martin to determine Dr F J Stephenson sanity after his transfer to Waterbury State Hospital for observation. The court may commit him for treatment. Also due today is the Raecraft case from Barre sent for hospital observation.

Cleveland, Nov 2 Xray reports a painter Jacob Horwits was killed in a street confrontation. Mrs Rose Devorkin, who recently moved from Lawrence, Mass, is accused in the fatal incident. Police say the motive involved alleged ruinous conduct and a dispute over family. Devorkin was later divorced from her husband amid child custody issues.
Lexington reports a syndicate of castor millionaires planning to buy several large farms near Lexington to convert into trotting farms. Members include W C Brown of New York Central, W TB Dickerman, David L. Loak, CK G Billings, Harry K. Deveraux, G G Moore, and Edward A. Tipton. They have already bought Castleton Farm and own the Kentucky Association trotting track.
The Rev Frederick F Heath pastor of Bowdoin Square tabernacle was arrested in Worcester on a charge of violating a city ordinance by not stopping his car when signaled by Officer Charles E Kenney at Harrington corner He was booked and bailed out on twenty dollars Kenney also arrested Charles Bemis chairman of the Charlmont board of selectmen on a similar charge
In Cambridge on November 2 a civil suit was filed in Middlesex superior court by Framing Savings Bank of Boston against the town of Framingham. The bank seeks to recover 25000 claimed on a note. It alleges the town’s actions in the matter were fraudulent regarding the note and the endorsement.
Mon N Bt Nov 24 report says Charlot Dalton, a Caspe fox ranch owner, bought three black foxes from J C Calboth of Caspe Quebec at a price that may be the highest ever paid for foxes. The deal surprised fox owners and unsettled the market as experts weighed the record purchase.
A great wall of water struck the Fabre line steamer Santa Anna on a Marseilles to New York trip injuring three and killing four sailors. The vessel, running under heavy seas, shelled its bow as it arrived in New York from Marseilles and Naples. Four sailors died after being swept overboard. three more were seriously injured and one man saved after becoming unconscious.
Beaufort NC November reports a Boston schooner named Lissie H. Patrick ran aground near Cape Lookout while carrying about 40 acres of pine timber and North Carolina boards bound for Portland. Owners Frank B. Irwin insured cargo valued at about 12000 dollars.
Melvin Wadsworth, born October 2, 1912, native of Tennington, longtime stage driver and bird dog trainer, died at the Gill Odd Fellows home in Ludlow. He was the oldest member of Vermont's Odd Fellows, celebrated his 99th birthday October 22, and spent his final years at the Taedaw home. He left a large family, with parents Samuel and Patty Waiteworth, and was the youngest of ten children.
Hartwell, involved in a crash during a July auto trip near Manchester and Chester, settled by paying 451.16 plus costs after a charge of assault against Hapgood. The plea to a more than 1 1/2 day jail term was avoided. Hartwell’s legal dispute arose from a collision at a lawn and the ensuing correspondence.
Thomas M Caney of Myrare PN hired a buggy in Woburn and drove to Medford where he sold the carriage to Henry Walters, a local repairer. Walters alerted police, Caney was arrested at Munford Inn stables during a horse return, and he faces arraignment in the Burn Court today.

Houghie in the United States court here today The suit seeks to recover bonds in the St Albans street railway receivership case The judge directed that the sale of the property be completed before the opening of business in the spring

W A Watts died at his Maple street home in Lamoille after a long illness. He was born March 1 1841 on Shaw Hill near Moscow and served three years in the Civil War with Company E, 11th Vermont, later as commissary sergeant. He lived in Morrisville, attended Congregational church, and leaves daughters Nellie Watts and Mrs A N Camp, a granddaughter Rebecon June, and brother George H Watts of Stowe. Funeral held at home this afternoon.
Washington Nov 28 plans move to abolish 77 circuit courts affecting 276 locations nationwide under the new judiciary code. Change seen as reform to trim excess courts and streamline federal judicial organization.
Mrs Philipina Sampson, 27, of 140 Bowen Street South Boston, was burned to death when a bottle of gasoline she used near the stove ignited her clothing while she tried to cleanse a bathrobe. The explosion sent flames through the kitchen. a bystander carried the body to the City Hospital. In Seattle Dr B L Whitman, a noted Baptist minister and former physician at Washington University, died from a heart-related blood clot.

A letter from Charles N Page of Des Moines claims Thomas Page who lived near 1850 in Vermont left millions to heirs now traced to a branch in Vermont. It says property worth several million dollars has lain with trustees for years and seeks time of death and heirs of Thomas Page to settle the estate.
Passengers on the southbound to Barre twined to cal rain leaving Saint Albans at 6 24 and the Barre branch arriving at 9 55. A derailed car rolled through a crowd on the platform and a bystander and passengers escaped serious harm. Mrs M Proulx fainted from the excitement but was revived aboard the Barre train. only trucks and several trunks suffered damage.
Miss Clara S. Letinir of Berkleyvill and John Wilmer Amedy of Webster Ville were married at 7:30 this morning in St. Monica's church. Rev McKenna officiated with Miss Kvla Acailion as bridesmaid and Albert Amery as best man. The couple left on the 12:25 train for St. Johnsbury for two weeks’ honeymoon and will reside in Websterville where the groom works.
Palmyra Missouri November 28 Mrs Sarah Lee longtime notable in Civil War history has died. She was the daughter of Andrew Alston whose alleged abduction of Confederate soldiers tied to a famous massacre.
A blaze gutted Union Station at White River Junction destroying the two and a half story brick building. Fire spread rapidly through the telegraph room hampered by smoke and water pressure. The station served as a key telegraph point between Boston Montreal with temporary services restored by 8 pm. The loss is estimated $10000 to $60000 with the restaurant and some surrounding property damaged. Trainees were delayed and trains held up across tracks as firemen saved adjacent structures. Yellowed reports note remodeling costs and joint ownership by Central Vermont and Bay State lines.
One of the largest spines ever quarried from the Barre Wells and Launeon quarry was hauled this morning to Jones Brown plant for cutting. It measures 51 feet by 1 foot by 8 foot and will form part of a monument to be erected not in New York state, with a base 4 by 4 and overall dimensions about 9 by 8 by 7.
