Police probe the shooting death of William J. Harrington found near Paul Kelley’s saloon Little Naples on Great Jones Street. Evidence suggests he was a repeat voter in recent elections and a coroner notes a confidential letter of sensational content.

Bennington November 23 a large barn belonging to J Edwards in the village was destroyed by fire late this afternoon causing about a $3000 loss. The blaze prompted quick alarms and local firemen responded to extinguish the flames. No further details on damage to surrounding structures.
The Manhattan Stock Company begins a weekly engagement at Barre Opera House starting Monday night November 27. Proprieties spent heavily to present the best ice company on the road with lavish costumes and high quality acts.
