Miss Lucy He Tack, 48, living with brother in law Lieutenant-Colonel Charl en Ty Plunkett at 1 Governor Road Jamaica Plain, leapt into a pond in an apparent suicide attempt. John Trieke saw her jump, coat removed, but she was pulled from the water and taken to City Hospital after suffering shock. Her brother Lieutenant-Commander Plankett declined comment.

A collision between two Worcester Consolidated trolley cars near Northboro Massachusetts on November 18 killed James Manefield of Marlboro, motorman of one car, and injured motorman Fred Columbia and several passengers. The Vermont Alumni of Dartmouth College met at the Pavilion hotel in Montpelier with over fifty in attendance. Dr. Ernest Fox Nichols, president of the college, gave the main address on the school and its aims. Resolutions were adopted on the death of Harley T. Caverly, noted at Johns Hopkins hospital. Officers elected for the coming year: President Dr. C. Caverny, vice president Prof. C. D. Mathewson, secretary Charles M. Smith, treasurer Fred J. Laird. The banquet followed the meeting.

In Swansea Massachusetts on November 18 infant Gordon Bul Buffum, son of the Rev and Mrs H Buffum of the North Swansea church, died after convulsions following ingestion of pills containing rye nine.
In Nashua Junction near Boston and Maine, the roundhouse was burned this morning destroying five locomotives. The fire, rising to a height of about 15 feet, caused extensive damage though no injuries are reported. The blaze started in the early hours and NF units responded quickly to control the flames.

Morrisville November 14 Edward Demag r of Fasex and Nelecy Griffin of West ford two worlhoppers in Ne tratuke facing trial on obtaining money under false pretenses. The men allegedly posed as State Aviorioy Maurice and former Secretary of State Fleetwood demanding $10 after claiming a letter opened by their employer. They allegedly extorted $9 from William Platt. Deng and Griffa were arrested by Deputy Sheriff W M Smith and bound over to county court under $500 bail. Frederickwood, initially implicated, was released. Noh Devenger was arrested for breaking into Marvin Messer's house and stealing a gold watch and other items. he was sentenced to repay $20 and costs and return the property.
White River Junction November 1 Two young men while hunting found a man’s body lying in wild at Wilder and alerted Selectman HP DNeill. The body was moved to the Loving Jobison undertaking establishment in the Junction awaiting the state's attorney. The remains show decomposition with bones separated. The deceased is believed to be an unidentified male.
Wittred Morin arrested yesterday afternoon for suspected theft at J S White on Second Street and for stealing a fountain pen from the estate tea company. Police found thirteen mort on the suspect at the scene. He was detected in the Star Department store in Winooski making large purchases and placing items in a new suitcase before heading to the afternoon train for Montres.

Mattie Ryder of Prandon was granted a divorce from William Ryter on grounds of adultery. She testified she was 13 when forced to marry him in 1802 and that he took her away and kept her with him. Their marriage ended after her father opposed them and later evidence showed Ryder had served a prison term.

The Vermont Senate held a reunion and banquet in Montpelier with eighteen members present and Lieut-Gov Stearns presiding. Five members died during the year including Pred Li Mattixon and Arthur Holbrook with Chaplain Farman reading their names. A future reunion was suggested for Rutland.
Gov John A Mead appointed a committee at a public meeting to investigate and report on the state's bond prioritization. Clint Cutler longtime resident of East Montpelier died at St. 30 o'clock this forenoon. Born in Orange County years ago he lived on the farm in Montpelier and later worked as a clerk in the savings bank. He is survived by two sons and several relatives. his wives Hattie Shepard and others are named in the obituary.
Elijah J. Sowles of Manchester, filing for 15000 damages from Norcross Marble Co of Dorset, saw the U S court jury directed to return a verdict for the defendant after evidence failed to prove liability. Trial halted by judge in Rutland as court adjourned to January 7 at Burlington.
Northfield November 18 Chairman John W. Redmond of the public service commission lectured railroad men at hearings on two wrecks on the Central Vermont line. He said they must comply with orders from the dispatcher as witnesses described the Gouldeville wreck of August 18 and a Roxbury incident on September 40, plus a petition for a flagman at the crossnear the station. The deposition of operator Meunier was presented, detailing duty changes to meet extra northbound traffic and a misread signal that led to a fatal collision as crews struggled to intercept the train.
Vietro Pellicva, age one, was brought to court on a supposed charge of fosification of Oktober 31. The judge remanded him to jail after unclear testimony and a witness failed to appear.
