In Chicago on November 15 a Wentworth Avenue line service ran with 15 policemen per train and two patrol wagons to escort the cars. Large crowds greeted them with jeers and missiles but police kept order. Two teamsters attempted to block the wagons and were arrested for the act.
Washington November 13 The House Ways and Means Committee reported a bill to carry into effect a convention between the United States and Cuba. Democratic committee members attempted two amendments but were defeated as the committee voted 14 to 83 on the final reporting. The committee will present the rule to the House next Monday and push for four days of debate with a vote likely Thursday.
Nov 15 reports from the foreign office indicate the Porte will reply immediately to latest demands from Austrian and Roumanian ambassadors on reforms in Macedonia. The embassy notes an aim to present a coherent reply and a calm story to follow.
Isthmian Minketer Narilla, minister of the Iabadan government, presented his credentials and exchanged greetings with President Roosevelt during a formal ceremony at the White House in the morning.

Governor Dockery has been summoned to testify in St Louis federal court Friday regarding Albert Morrow charged with aiding naturalization fraud. The secretary of state and attorney general Crow were cited but absent. a subpoena required Crow to appear. Morrow is identified as the governor's private secretary.
A telephone report from Lexington Kentucky states a double freight collision near New Tope, By, killed all aboard. Two derailed cars demolished and several men trapped under wreckage. Reported fatalities include Forther Fremett, engineer one, and others named Graves, Cannon, and Burcen.
Watertown county reports Constable J. E. Giddis vanished after a lake search begun Tuesday. A boat associated with the search was found abandoned and no trace of the constable has been located.
Albany November 13 The Episcopal diocesan convention here decided a special election for a coadjutor bishop with Bishop Downe. A special committee will draft the summary and other details before the election is called.
Burlington report notes Cook Bohen Berger confined in the post guard house after a drunken row in the 27th battery of field artillery. If charged he could face years in a military prison for disobedience, striking, threatening officers, and resisting arrest. Pay day at the fort was otherwise quiet.
Bradford November 12 William B D Avery prominent Bradford resident died early this morning He was born January 12 18M in Corinth and moved to the town 15 years ago He held important local offices and belonged to the Congregational church He leaves a wife and five daughters The services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 oclock with burial at the historic Meadow Meeting House cemetery at Corinth
New Haven Conn Nov 12 By the will of Sarah Birrivon of Brattleboro Vermont Yale University receives 8100000 to be held as it pleases. Mrs Tharrleoh sister of the late Governor Henry G Harrison of Connecticut. Governor Harrison served thirteen years on the Yale Corporation. The sum is given in testament.
Norwich report says State's Attorney Blanchard and Mr Tarbell of South Roy altin are in towns examining a court of inquiry into a fire at the Porter place. Officials say the blaze destroyed the burn and dv head of catire, with the origin described as legendary.

Daniel M. Heaton of Graniteville wed Miss Jessie McLeod of Norwood at a residence ceremony conducted by Rev. E Wilmet Cummings. The couple will reside in Graniteville with Mr. and Mrs. Uraton.
A six year old boy, son of Patrick Dingwn, sustained a broken leg at home in Kim Street, Montpelier, after jumping a flower bed on Wednesday during play. Authorities described the accident as a simple fall while the child was at play on Kim Street.

Nov. 15 Underhill resident James Herson of Underhill suffered a serious fall late Wednesday while visiting Mrs. W. E. Merson on West Allis Street. He lost balance descending eight steps, struck his head and shoulders, was moved by bystanders, and Dr. Head deemed surgery necessary to treat the wounds. He was reported improving yesterday.
